Santa Clarita, with its diverse landscapes, 50+ sound stages, 10+ movie ranches, and thousands of film-friendly locations within the “30-Mile Zone,” (TMZ) is one of California’s premier filming destinations. Established in 2002, the City’s Film Office supports the industry by:

• Issuing filming permits and coordinating with L.A. County Fire and Sheriff
• Assisting with location scouting and inquiries
• Overseeing filming on City-owned properties
• Serving as a liaison between production teams and local residents/businesses
• Marketing Santa Clarita’s services and locations to the entertainment industry
• Collaborating with legislators to advocate for film-friendly policies
